Ledebouria socialis is a unique bulbous plant highly prized for its ornamental foliage. Its narrow, lanceolate, silvery-green leaves dotted with dark green spots create an elegant, textured effect. Origin : Species native to South Africa, growing in dry, rocky areas.

Growth : Slow growing, gradually forming small clumps of bulbs that produce several tight leafy rosettes.

Flowers : Produces slender flower stems bearing small, star-shaped, greenish to purplish flowers, discreet but numerous, generally visible in spring or summer.

Light : Prefers bright indirect light, but also tolerates soft direct sun, which accentuates the contrasts and density of the foliage.

Watering : Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Space out waterings further when the plant goes dormant to prevent bulb rot.

Substrate : Use a light, well-draining succulent potting mix to protect the bulbs from excessive moisture.

Toxicity : Slightly toxic if swallowed; it is advisable to keep it out of reach of pets.
