Snakeshead Fritillary Fritillaria meleagris

Common names include, snakeshead, chess flower, guinea flower, Lazarus bell, chequered lily and frog cup.

The Snakeshead fritillary is an early flowering perennial which grows best in moist meadows.  The delicate purple bell-shaped flowers, with their distinctive chequered pattern, can be seen in the spring.  Ideal for naturalising in grass, plant snakeshead fritillaries in wildflower meadows, as well as in rock gardens, cottage and informal gardens, and containers.

Spring wildflower bulbs 'in the green' are supplied when they are actively growing. This can be a more reliable way to transplant wildflower bulb species than from dormant bulbs planted in autumn. Wildflower bulbs in the green can be easier to plant as it is clear where the bulbs have been positioned.  In most cases, the plants will flower the following spring.

After flowering, let the foliage die back naturally; the leaves are still photosynthesising and sending nutrients into the bulbs for the next year's flowers.

Our highest-quality wildflower and meadow bulbs are grown in the UK from British plants.

Authentic product
All products came in early than expected delivery date. Just started the product so unsure of the results but I'm confident with this. The texture is light, moisturising.
