An extremely special and incredibly rare Christian Dior custom couture sheer white silk billow-sleeve bridal gown with matching juliet cap veil. This ethereal look dates back to spring-summer 1972 when genius Marc Bohan was creative director. Here is a rare opportunity to own an exceptional archival Christian Dior bridal gown that even comes with her matching headpiece. The enchanting ensemble was custom made for a client in London. It bears the Christian Dior London label which is a licensed regional version for clients who could not travel to Paris for multiple fittings. The Dior atelier in London blended the best of both worlds: Parisian couture heritage with British refinement.

This archival bridal masterpiece is fashioned in the highest quality semi-sheer white cigaline silk. The alluring low plunge bodice shows off the décolletage beautifully. Hundreds of sparkling prong-set rhinestones and domed filigree paillettes, in an elegant striped design, cover the entire bodice both front and back. This impressive beadwork, which must have taken weeks to complete, is repeated on the wide cuffs of the sheer billow sleeves and the juliet cap. I especially love the nipped waist silhouette with long ethereal tiered skirting. It effortlessly flares into flattering 'New Look' full skirting with stunning back train, creating graceful drama. This is more than a bridal ensemble, it’s a beautiful love letter from Dior’s London atelier. How epic to be the bride that says "I Do" in archival Dior.

Measurements
Bust: 35-36 inches
Waist: 28 inches
Hips: best up to 40 inches
Total Length (not including train): 60 inches

This magnificent 1972 Christian Dior wedding dress and matching juliet cap is in excellent condition with no noticeable rips, holes or stains. The couture beadwork is fresh and very sparkly. Christian Dior label client number 59942 and original back zipper in place. Highly wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.

Unbelievable disappointment
Format: Kindle
The main character is silly, insipid, one dimensional, and completely unbelievable. A murder victim is discovered and for some reason she immediately believes she is the most qualified person to solve the crime. The supposed professional, the local inspector, let's her walk all over him. I couldn't make myself finish it and certainly won't be reading any more in the series. As far as the audible version, the narrator needs to study American accents more, maybe actually engage in conversation with Americans before trying the accent again. The most cringe worthy narration I've ever heard.

Great read
Format: Kindle
I really like this one. Even though the Poppy character is a bit stubborn and won’t accept she is not really a detective, yet. The rest of the characters and plot delightful. I’m already looking forward to the next one.

Enjoyable
Format: Kindle
It is a good read. I enjoy the leafing characters. The plot was well done. But it could use a bit of better editing. There were several mistakes.

as an addition to the Scottish Ladies Detective agency, a new lady sleuth
Format: Kindle
What a wonderful mystery, a grand heroine who is polishing her detective skills. All the pomp of the gentile classes at their play. Murders, theft, and dogs in the highlands, what could be better? Recommend

Promising start to new mystery series.
Format: Kindle
Lady Persephone "Poppy" Proudfoot attends a house party at an estate, meets some American actors, and tries to solve the murder of a stranger to the village whose body is discovered by the lake. The first in a series, this book is a quick read with a plot that moves along, although some of the large cast of characters seem superfluous (e.g., the American visitors). Poppy is a widow, a law-school graduate (in the 1920s!), and ran a hospital for wounded soldiers during WW1, so an interesting character to read about. A promising beginning to the series and I look forward to the next book. Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the eARC.
