I like it because it is a soft rubber and doesn't make so much noise when they throw it around on my hard flooring. For the price, they are definitely getting a whole lot of fun out of it. Edit: Now, more than a month later, my dog managed to get a small piece off after a heavy chew session. After that first piece apparently it is easy to get more off, and he wants to swallow it so the ball is in the trash.
